this just sounds like a simple bug, sims do tend to stand around and do nothing a lot. what bookcase did you use? what book did you read? did you do anything else weird beforehand?

The bookshelf was the wonders if I remember correctly, book was encyclopedia vampirica volume 1. And just tried it again, got the stupid t-pose. And after that it would just do nothing either, she'd just stand there doing nothing but responding to the buffs she had on her.
