UNABLE TO START ERROR CODE:  [de4ee14f:29f00e7600000000:4b0d852b]

Anyone run into an issue start in their game over the last two days...  It was working fine a few days ago with no changes.
I have tried removing the gallery poses I had put in my mod's folder, as well as taking UI cheats completely out to see if it was that the problem... so far it won't start and it's telling me to go to origin to repair With this error code.  Anyone have this or know what it might be?

Someone suggested I remove my mods folder completely and restart/repair?  I am terrified to do that in case I mess something up, could I lose everything?  I just got done creating our real house (20+ Hours to make) but still needs some tweeks, it is saved in my in my library but not shared to the gallery yet!!!!  Please HELP walk this technically challenged girl get back on without losing all my stuff!!!

  • @KellyInMN      Hi! I'm sorry you're having trouble with this. I do think it's a good idea to test the game without mods. Moving the Mods folder out will not delete any of your saves or builds. Please try these steps.

    1. Drag your Mods folder to your desktop
    2. Delete the localthumbcache.package file located in the Documents / Electronic Arts / The Sims 4 folder
    3. Run a game repair
    - EA app: Click Library > Click the three-dot menu on the TS4 game > Click repair
    - Origin: Click Library > Right click on the TS4 game > Click repair
    - Allow the repair to run for all packs
    4. Launch the game

If the game loads, first try creating a New Save, creating a random sim, and moving them into a cheap house. This is just to be sure that everything is working without your mods and without making any changes to your current save. Then come back and update if everything is working properly.

EDIT: @Caerfinon   I didn't see your post until after I replied.  In this case, I think it might be better to test without mods before trying the factory reset in the thread you mentioned, although it may come down to that depending on what @KellyInMN discovers from testing.
