Uninstall, reinstall, change language in game don´t work

Hi, i used origin for playing the sims4, but now i have to change app to new ea app. The language was change from Czech to English. I´m searching for ways to change it for 2 days, but unsuccessfully. When i read about one possible way is uninstall game, i want to try it but it didn´t work. In ea app nothing happend when i right click on the icon, i even try to uninstall ea app and again instal origin, but there is same problem.

Please, can somebody help?

Thanks!

  • @willyAnet  Try using Revo Uninstaller (it's free) to remove Sims 4:

    • Restart your computer, and don't open the EA App.  Make sure it and the EABackgroundProcess are NOT running in the Task Manager.
    • Put aside your Sims 4 folder in Documents\Electronic Arts and rename it to something that doesn't include the words "Sims 4."
    • Download Revo Uninstaller (the free version is fine) from here.
    • Launch Revo, select Sims 4 from the list, and click Uninstall.
    • Once the game is uninstalled, select "Moderate" under "scanning modes," and click Scan.
    • Review the list, in case there's something you want to save; otherwise, click Select All, and then Delete.
    • Close Revo, and restart your computer.

I would suggest uninstalling the EA App with Revo as well.  I don't have instructions for that, but it should be as simple as the above if not more so.

Once the EA App is uninstalled, restart your computer, download a fresh install, and choose Czech as the App's language, if it's available.  You can switch it later, but not until after you've installed Sims 4: the game sometimes follows the language of the App even when the player chooses a different language entirely.

    Hello @willyAnet,

it is true that the only way to change the language in the EA app at the moment is to deinstall and reinstall the game with the correct language. To deinstall the game you have to go to the game (so no right click on the icon, left click on it, so it takes you to the page of it) and then you will have two buttons there -  click on "Manage" and then you should have the option to Uninstall. After that, click on install and choose the language you want under "language preferences".

  • Thank you! but belive me i tried many times click on "manage" and then uninstall, but nothing happend. Thats why i wrote this post. I don´t know, if the problem is with my PC, or with app....

    Hello @willyAnet,

    I apologize, I didn't realize - that's indeed a very curious problem.

Is the Uninstall greyed out or is the app simply not reacting? Could you try the App Recovery and see if it works then?

    - Pythia

  • @EA_Pythia yes i tried it, but after uninstalling ea app it seems the same like before. i tried it so many times.

The button "Uninstall" is not greyed, it is not reacting only.

  • I tried to send you a window, which shows if i click to "uninstal". if you will understand, its in czech language 🙂 no matter where you will click ( yes/no ) there is no reaction.
