university pack

I bought the Discover University pack originally on steam so I open my sims 4 and go to 'my packs' and my university pack says: "Requires the Sims 4 game (sold separately) and all game updates to play. See minimum system requirements for this pack." so i go check if my game needs updating, and it doesnt. theres no button to update so im really confused, help please

    yeah, but it showed up in my packs though it just wont let me play

    @shawtyyy15 Can i check you have the sims 4 base game purchased as well as Discover University?  To update your game, go to Origin, view my profile, click on games, then sims 4 pack for details. You should have an option to update game in the settings.  Click on the cog wheel.

    @shawtyyy15 Did you install the base game through Steam or Origin ?

    For packs bought on steam, you need to play the steam version. The Origin version isn't able to find Steam DLC.

    So if you installed the Origin version, re-install the base game and the DLC through Steam. Steam should then be able to also see your Origin DLC (although you might need to reinstall those as well) as well as the Steam DLC
