Update???
I didn't realize until today that there was supposed to have been an update? Normally, if an update is ready to be installed, it automatically tells me so as soon as I open the EA app (PC). I can't even play the game until the update is installed, which is honestly fine. However, I have not had that happen since the supposed recent update on Jan 6. No notifications whatsoever. It doesn't seem like the new content is in my game, so I don't think it secretly downloaded it behind my back or something. I don't know why it's not showing up, and I can't find any other way to get it.

I believe what you saw was the laundry list that was released on the 6th - the actual update has not been released yet.
You should be fine in regard to your game's update state.
