VC++ Redistributable Error (5) Windows 7 64bit

So after looking through the Answers HQ and various other online sources, it seems like I can't find anyone who has this particular problem who has found a solution that works for me. Here's the deal...

    Okay! Extremely strange solution but a solution nonetheless:

    Start a new standard account. I did it by going to Control Panel>User Accounts and Family Safety>User Accounts>Manage Accounts.

    I don't know how or why it works, and unfortunately, if you have a lot of files that are important to you (which I did not) then they will not be on this new account. However, this worked for me and I tried practically everything else, and any documents/photos can probably be moved relatively easily. 

    I don't know how, I don't know why, and to be honest I'm not sure if it matters. I hardly saw anyone with this error so if this helps anyone, then I'm glad.

    Yeah. Didn't help.

    Edit: I've made sure that everything is updated for both Windows and Origin and I've tried temporarily disabling my anti-virus to see if that would help. Sadly, it didn't. :c

      And you also try running as administrator ?

      Have you tried googling for manual uninstall instructions ?

        I ran the setup as administrator. Same error. I also simply can't uninstall it as far as I can tell. Nothing I find about uninstalling helps, and I still get that "access denied" message. There's only one account on my computer, and I'm on it. 

        I didn't think it would wind up being this complicated.
