walls and floors black
how can i fix my walls and floors if they are completely black and when i try to change them to a lighter color they wont change it will remain black

Are you using custom content or mods in your game ?
If so, try if the issue persists if you remove them.
I Tried that also; I also tried repairing the game and changing from full-screen to window mode. ANY tips????
Try right clicking on the game in Origin and hit repair game
If that doesn't help, could you please post a picture of what you're seeing ?

Are you using any mods or cc in your game? Try to remove them and see if the game works better.
For example, move the mods folder from C:\Users\Username\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 to your Desktop and start the game.Open your Origin client and go to My Game Library, right-click The Sims 4 and choose Repair.
- I was experiencing this issue and found that it occurred on lots/rooms where the auto-lights feature was activated.
I turned off this feature and things went back to normal.
