Hi there Cirisimstarsi :3
You might want to uninstall your old driver and update it through IObit Uninstaller.
https://www.iobit.com/en/advanceduninstaller.php
I've always had a clean computer whenever I've used it and it's a pretty simple program ^_^
If you need further help, let us know where you're stuck so we can assist you <3.
Hope you have a lovely day! 🐱
- 7 years agohello thankyou ive installed the iobit uninstaller and completly uninstalled the driver but its still saying Nvidia cannot install and cant continue as its not compatible

Hi again! :D
In this case, let's try reinstalling your NVIDIA driver through their other app Driver Booster:
---------
Additionally, if the above did not work, you might want to try:
> closing all the processes from Task Manager related to NVIDIA
> uninstall everything related to it
> Perform a Clean Boot (link below these steps)
> Reinstall the Nvidia drivers through the IObit Driver Booster.
--------
Lastly, if you could please let me know when was the last time you've installed your Windows? :3
Looking forward to hearing from you! And thanks for the patience 🐱
- 7 years agoHello thankyou for replying is the driver booster a safe app to use I did a system restore sometime last year
- 7 years ago
Yep, it's a safe app to use. I wouldn't have used it if I haven't seen it being recommended by customer supports. Had some issues once with an app on my PC and this was recommended to me as well ^_^. I'm pretty suspicious when it comes to installing programs I haven't heard of before, so I understand you 🙂).
You can perform an antivirus scan just in case after installing/using it :D.
There were some errors I've seen in the dxdiag, that's why I was asking. Because sometimes, Windows files can get corrupted and affect programs/games/etc.
Let me know how it goes! And don't hesitate to ask questions or add more details.
