Hey everyone, anyone knows why my text file looks like this after last two hotfixes? It was fine with the update up until the 1st hotfix for the store button. I have: deleted cache, deleted the file...
@jupkmn I've merged your post with the master thread for this issue. It's purely cosmetic in that it has no effect on the game, but if you want to know why it's happening, this thread has an explanation.
Product: The Sims 4 Platform:PC Which language are you playing the game in?Português How often does the bug occur?Every time (100%) What is your current game version number?1.108.348.1020 What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed?ALL Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves?Go to The Sims 4 folder in documents and check the gameversion file. What happens when the bug occurs? The gameversion file does not correctly display the game version number, displaying strange characters. What do you expect to see?I hope to be able to view the game's version number without having to open The Sims 4 and check it through the main menu. Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods?Never used. Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No
It has been a while since it has been possible to view the game version number in the 'gameversion' file, located in documents\electronic arts\the sims 4. When opening the file, instead of showing the game's version number, some strange characters have shown. I know this issue is not from the most recent update, however, I can't say specifically how long it has been occurring.
I also can't say if this is a problem that only occurs in the language of the game I play in, which in this case is Brazilian-Portuguese BPT.
