Weird ring around the plumbob

After today's (1. Dec) update, my one sim suddenly has a weird grey ring around her plumbob that I've never seen before. Anyone know what that ring is? (Or if it's a bug). FWIW, she's an adult ali...

    Hello @TheSteelRodent

    I've been told that this is to indicate more clearly who in the active household is an alien (due to disguises and such).
