What happened to caterers in Sims 4?

I was in the habit of hiring a caterer a few times a week to cook quality meals for my larger families in The Sims 4. The leftovers stocked in the fridge saved a ton of time. But after the most recent update, the option to hire a caterer is completely gone in all houses, in all neighborhoods! I hosted a couple of parties in an effort to hire a caterer through those options, but no caterer showed up.

Anyone else experiencing this issue? Are caterers no longer part of the game? I have searched and searched with no answers...

    I’m having the same problem, however I cannot find ANYWAY to hire a caterer. I have no mods at all installed. I have Get to Work and Parenthood. The refrigerator and stove do not give the option and when I went in to plan a party it would not let me choose the option of hiring a caterer. The option was clearly there, but I couldn’t select anything. Is there a work around for this?

    I have this issue and I can hire them for parties but not from the stove or fridge and I have no mods or cc installed. I also don't have any expansion, game, or stuff packs.

    If you have any issues with Sims 4 please make a new topic about the issues you are having and what kind of steps you have tried to solve it.
