The problem with the Sims 4 is this seems to be a game that requires more then a student computer. A mid level gaming computer with a dedicated graphics chip should be just fine.

I was wondering "such as" myself, and was pretty disappointed that there were no direct suggestions to look at. If anyone has a suggestion of particular laptops that would do a good job (for a fair price) of running Sims 4/Expansions/Custom Content, I feel they would be welcomed here, as this thread still comes up when Googling the topic in question.
There are no recommendations on laptops in this thread and three year old recommendations would probably not help much today even the minimum requirements are out of date with recent expansions.
