EA & Steam are not working together

I had to rebuy some of my expansion packs on Steam. The EA app would not give them to me and the help desk wanted receipts? but who keeps receipts. 

Anyway, now I can't get Businesses & Hobbies plus some small stuff packs and kits to transfer correctly. If Steam does transfer them, then all my other packs disappear. If I uninstall and reinstall Sims 4, then everything is there, including my Steam packs, except that one. 

I have already rebought packs. I am willing to rebuy these. Does anyone know how I can?

  • mysticfairy1​  Where did you own B&H and the other content that's not working: in the EA App, or in Steam?  Are your EA App and Steam accounts correctly linked to each other?  To confirm, try to sign into the EA App or any EA website using your Steam credentials.  If you land in the correct EA account (and double-check the username), they're linked; if anything else happens, let me know.

    Neither EA nor Steam will sign in with each other's IDs. Steam's smaller packs that I did have on there did come over. It's now down to 8 left. 

    I am so confused on how to connect EA and Steam. It was easy with Discord and EA.

    Having said that, a given EA account can only be linked to one Steam account in its lifetime, so if you've already linked this EA account to a different Steam account, you won't be able to link the right one.  In that case, you might need to merge the EA account that owns the Sims 4 content into the EA account linked to the correct Steam account.  That would be a job for EA customer support.

    I put in a help request 2 weeks ago and they have not responded. I am getting the feeling they are not going to respond. I tried to put in another with some new information but there was no way to actually submit the ticket.

    I am angry because everything worked perfectly until I had to reformat my computer. All my packs and kits were on my account and I could play. But now I can't have it that way. 

    Steam did refund me for Businesses & Hobbies but on the EA side it still says managed by Steam.

    I have tried doing a help ticket twice now. The option to send in a help ticket is not available. It is grayed out and simply not there. I have never had that problem before. I did get Businesses and Hobbies back by deleting it from Steam and rebuying it. That is what I will do with the smaller packs. 

    Not to sound bitter but if they won't help you, what else can you do? I take pride in owning every single Pack and Kit Sims 4 comes out with and suddenly I can't get them to work because EA says I have to go to Steam. I will not buy through Steam again. If I am forced to rebuy anything else after this, I'll quit Sims.
