Rightclick the game in Origin and select game Properties. On the Advanced Tab select 64bit instead of Legacy. OK out and in the future the standard version (64bit) will load when you start the game.
There are no settings in the game that can save as either 32 bit or 64 bit.
If Legacy was uninstalled or not installed in the first place there will be no options to change between the two.
That is what I have been doing, friend. The problem is that every time I open origin to play the game it defaults to the 32 bit. I've changed it in the advanced settings multiple times (when the option was actually available) and it still defaults to the 32 bit Legacy Edition like its still there even though it was supposedly deleted from my library.

What makes you think it changes to 32 bit?

Because when the game loads in its the 32 bit Legacy version. I know because DU and EL are not listed on the main screen even though I have purchased those. I do check every time. Sometimes the launch settings do give me the option to change it, sometimes it does, but it resets every time I close the game/origin even though I save those settings.

This is likely a problem with Origins cache. https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/faq/clear-cache-to-fix-problems-with-your-games/
