whats needed to install sims 4 game on pc?
I know some games require you to purchase and install the sims first before allowing you to install another Sims game is this required for sims 4 as well?

No. Sims 4 is a new base game. There's nothing else required.
If you want to install the Sims 4 Outdoor Pack, you would need the Sims 4 base game though
