Were they in My Households as well or in other households ? Do you still find them in the household manager at all ?
There is a culling system in the game but if you only just started the save two days ago, it's unlikely that that hit your game already.
The game also makes automatic backups so you can check if one of those still have them: https://sims4.crinrict.com/eng/2014/09/save-games/#wiederherstellen
