Why Can't I Post On The Sims 4 Forums?

Hello:

First... I want to say that I have no idea where this post will show up. I tried to find a suitable board for my inquiry, however, this forum only gave me one option to submit a post a message (on the very first page).

Anyway, here is my question: I made 5 posts to the Sims 4 forums in a relatively short period of time (within hours of each other). Now I am unable to submit any posts to that forum at all.

Does the Sims 4 forums limit the number of posts you can make within a given period of time, and if you exceed the maximum number, do they temporarily forbid you to make new posts in that forum?

P.S.

I don't know if this is relevant, but I am a new member. Those 5 posts that I made were the very first ones in that community.

Then they have probably revoked these again for new members until they come up with a better solution

    You have three options

    1. If you have a technical problem you need help with, open a thread here. You'll get help here.
    2. Find a thread that's similar to what you want to post and post in the existing thread
    3. Try become a regular member. You need about 50 posts (50 points) to become a member. Just participate in existing threads until you get there.

  • Hi,

it probably has nothing to do with the amount of posts you made yesterday but with the fact, that the official forum was yet again overtaken by spam bots yesterday. So they probably revoked posting to new members temporarily again.

It could also be a limit on the amount of post for new members though. They are trying different measurements at them moment.

Can you not post at all or just not make a new topic ?

  • Hello and thank you for your response.

    To answer your question:

I'm able to respond to posts that are already there, but I am unable to start a new topic. The buttons to do so are gone.

I'm trying to post in the bugs forum and I hit submit but nothing happens. The button just gets grayed out.

Locking this thread to prevent further necro-posting.

If you're having trouble submitting a bug report you might have missed one of the required fields. Double-check and make sure you've entered your details in every box and see if it lets you create your thread.
