Why is my sims 4 folder corrupted like this?!

@omgyamisocringe  Don't really know about the corrupted file name; but it looks like you have pasted a Sims 4 user folder into a Sims 3 user folder. You need to keep them separate, and on the same level in the Electronic Arts folder, if that makes sense.

What is your intent with moving the folder?

@DonroaAkashuI meant that I have a section of sims 3 files and folders saved in one side, while the other is sims 4. Basically, they aren't conflicting in with one another, so whenever I do update my newer files, that I won't cause an error crash.

Now, what my intent with this issue was to drag over my main sims 4 folder so that I could start off where I left off of after the most recent sims 4 update. I don't think I can recover anything now considering how low the kb is and how, if I changed the "type", that it wouldn't be anything of use there nor be even more corrupted.

Could you please state the whole path to both your active The Sims 3 user folder, and your active The Sims 4 folder; as well as other places on your computer you use to place your backups.

Example:

This is the path to my active user folder for tS4 (swedish computer):

E:\Dokument\Electronic Arts

This is the path for the place I put my backups of TS4 folders:

D:\Backup Sims 4

So if I understand it correctly, the whole Sims 4 user folder that you have moved from Documents>Electronic Arts to your USB, got converted into a file after you tried to move it back?
I searched a little on this, and found a lot of reports of this happening for example when doing chkdsk, and having files on external hard drives. 

There are some suggestions of how to try to recover the data, but I don't feel comfortable advising someone else that; but I guess that not keeping your backups that you move back and forth on an external disc might be one suggestion of not having it happen again. What I do is to rename the user folder something else, and then rename it back to The Sims 4 whenever I don't want the game to read it/have it as the active current folder again.

The file "the Sims 4" was likely the result of an error on your SD card. You mention having to scan it for errors. Like @DonroaAkashu  mentions it may happen when a SD card is failing. I will recommend replacing it as soon as possible. Your other backups look to be fine.
