I don't understand why this is taking so long, I bought the game hoping to go on it the same day! Like I've been able to do with all the other sims games I ever had! If I known it was gonna be like this I would never have bought it! Ive listened to a lot of people saying they have closed the download and restarted it which I have done and had to start from scratch and it's still taking forever! This problem needs sorting! Fast!!

Okay, some of the download times here are insane. I have Satellite internet and, even there it isn't that bad. The first thing to do is reset your connection, power cycle the modem and, reboot the computer as follows.
- Power-down the computer.
- Power-down the router (unplug it).
- Power-down the modem (unplug it).
- If you have an Ethernet cable connecting your computer to the modem, disconnect it. Wait a moment, then plug it back in.
- Make sure the Ethernet cable from the router is plugged securely into the back of the modem. *Note: Wireless routers do not require a cable connection to the computers they support.
- Plug in the modem. Wait until all LED lights on the modem are properly lit - 1 to 5 minutes depending on your modem.
- Power-up the router and wait for it to be fully cycled up.
- Power up your computer.
Now right click Origin and choose RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR. Try the download again.
