You didn't mention how much free storage you have on your laptop out of the 256 GB total, but you'll want to have at least 25-30 GB free after you've installed the game, to leave Windows enough room to maneuver.  (Your user data like saves will also take up space, and maybe a lot of it if you want to use custom content.)  The base game is 15 GB, expansions are in the 2-3 GB range, and game and stuff packs are smaller.

While you're playing, make sure that your laptop can properly cool itself.  Elevate it (put books under the corners or something), or get a laptop tray or cooling pad.

@kalelkitten222 IMO the 256Gb ssd is too small for a gaming platform. Windows operating system bloats as most operating systems do. The Sims 4 game has expansion packs that will consume space on the 256Gb system device. You may not have issues right away but as free space decreases you will probably have performance issues. I recommend at least a 500Gb system storage device for a gaming machine. The AMD advanced processor units share the clock among the cores. This means the more cores that are active the slower the cores get clocked. I have built AMD gaming machines but I used the FX series processor and get good performance. AMD now offers the Ryzen processors that support DDR4 memory which makes A series and FX series processor old technology. Try to look for the latest technology as that will give you the longest run before your computer becomes a museum piece. For laptops I think Intel is a better choice. While the AMD A series laptops may make a nice student/business, If you want performance for a gaming platform I'd recommend an Intel based machine with a gaming video chip separate from the gpu that is built into the cpu. When you buy a laptop you have to get what you want upfront as there are few upgrades that can be done to a laptop.  hth
