Window keeps popping up saying that Sims 4 won't respond

Somebody please help! I've been trying to run Sims 4 all day and it won't work.  When I click, and window pops up saying that it won't respond and to either wait or close the program.  I've done both...

Thank you, but I followed the steps and I was not prompted...I don't know if it has to do with custom content or if it is a problem with origin or with the game....I don't have a lot of custom content but do you think I should delete it?
