@suphirea Please make sure Sims 4 is actually reading from the folder on the external drive. Here's how:
https://sims4.crinrict.com/eng/2018/07/how-to-find-your-user-folder/
And let me know how you moved the data to the external.
Please also let me know how large the Electronic Arts folder is inside Documents on your C drive. Right-click the folder and select Properties > General, and you'll see the total size. If it's large, repeat for the Sims 4 folder inside.
My hard drive contains 114 GB, and after moving my tray files and mods into it, I now have 85 GB left.
I wanted to mention that I only have my tray files and mods stored on the drive.
To address the space issue, I followed a tutorial (https://www.tiktok.com/@asukiiiio/video/7243555638276541738?q=how%20to%20move%20sims%204%20to%20external%20drive&t=1689220998077) to move my mods and tray files to an external hard drive using command prompt. I'm confident that I did it correctly, as per the instructions.
It's a bit puzzling that no one else seems to be experiencing this problem, but I'm certain I executed the steps accurately.
Please continue to help me on this journey, your assistance is much needed. Happy Simmings! 😊🖥️🎮

@suphirea I was actually curious about the sizes of the folders on your C drive, since the issue is that you're losing storage there. Please let me know.
Please also list the folder or folders for which you created a symlink so I can write with more specificity. For example, maybe you moved the entire "The Sims 4" folder, or just a few folders within it.
Finally, please post the full file path of the folder Sims 4 is reading, as described in the link in my previous post.
