@crinrict I finally got past the infinite loading screen with my cc working. I tested it folder for folder and found something wrong with my skins folder which is really weird as I didn't add anything new to it. Still puzzled about that. But what puzzles me the most is that my loading times have doubled even though I did a factory reset on my game.
Well it's working for now and guess I'll have to buy some patience potions or something because the waiting time is now about 40min which is really frustrating as I didn't change anything really to the game. I'll keep in mind every time I'll add something new I'll first add it to a folder titled 'New CC' before placing it in corresponding folders.
Also, I honestly have no idea if TS4_64.exe is using my graphics card as the main one. I honestly didn't even know I had integrated graphics 520 and nvidia gtx 940mx. I have my graphics card set to recommended use as some games become even slower when they only use the nvidia card.
40 min is really long.
How much custom content do you have ?
How long are they without any ?

@crinrict 40mins is really long yes, I'm gonna try and merge some package files with sims 4 studio as a lot of people say that helps with loading times - of course I'll make a backup of my folder before doing anything.
This is all my custom content, got about 7.1GB of build-buy stuff and the rest is hairs/clothes. I wouldn't say 7700 files is a lot. My sims 3 game has 40000 files and that loads within 1 min.
What just really puzzles me is that the time has doubled after I put those new files into it, it were only 10 files so - what went wrong?
I timed the loading - it takes between the 40min - 50min, depends if I have other programs open while loading.
When I take out my custom content my game loads within 1 minute.

There's always the possibility of no longer compatible with a patch or conflicts. Only way to find out is to weed through the custom content which is a lot of work with the amount of cc you have.
Yeah, try merging, might help.

@crinrict weeding through it is gonna be impossible with the amount I have. I'm currently downloading a cc tracker so that I can delete the cc I never use by including them on a sim. I have quite a lot of files which I don't like anymore but as it never includes a name it's almost impossible to find them back in my folders.
I'll try merging and come back to you, for now my problem is 'gone' just wish to shorten the waiting time as it's hell really, waiting that long.

Yeah, I understand that. My Sims 2 took 1.5 hours just to load back in the days .. made me not play anymore

@crinrict wow 1.5 hours?! That's insane. Backup of my mods files is almost done, than I'll start merging and see what comes out of it. I've also set my graphics card to high overclock when playing sims 4 so hopefully the waiting time will shorten.

Yeah, my computer was very bad ...

@crinrict The merging was sadly not a success. For a few folders it worked when I was testing it but it went wrong somewhere and now when I start it it'll load up just fine, I'll get the EA-Maxis intro and than the The Sims 4 logo but a few seconds after that my screen becomes white and my mouse keeps giving the loading icon until I get a 'TS4_64x has become unresponsive, close application or wait"
Guess I'll have to wait 40min from now on ☹️
