Workers not showing up to restaurant or retail

i don't - that persons restaurant had a pole in the way so the sims couldn't get to the lot.

my workers dont appear on the lot, but a different sim who i haven't hired does, and firing them does nothing, same as with trying to fire the original employee > this happens with my restaurant

with my retail, no one shows up at all.
