My sim is now level 8 or 9 at piano skill and her goal is to write 4 songs.
When I choose 'write a song' from the piano, she does it. but it's not actually wriiting a song,
I've been asking her to do it for so long she levelled up and still no song. how am I expected to wrie 4 songs if she can't even write one?
Please help
It takes a long time. Look in your inventory, there should be some notes there, on those, you can click "continue to write song".

HAve you checked the inventory for notes? Just check to see if there are any there, but there was some issues for me as well when I wrote songs. My sim would keep writing even if I told him to stop doing so, he would not stop untill I ordered him to practice on another instrument. But check for notes in the inventory first, just to see.
