Ok, so when I play sims I use a pretty old Microsoft computer. a while ago I used to try to download cc normally, but it just wouldnt work. I was making progress until I accidentally made the cc download into some sort of code on a word document. I don't know how to make it download into a file. It's literally a word document. I need help transfiguring it back into a normal file.
@raybyray1 Do you mean that the cc files have a Word icon now? If it's just the icon, you don't need to worry about it. That's your OS telling you that if you try to open those types of files, it will use Word by default. But you're not trying to open the files, and the game will use them normally regardless.
If you did happen to open a cc file, it's a good idea to trash it and download a new version, just in case the old one got corrupted. But your other cc files should be fine. When downloading cc, be sure to always choose "save file" rather than "open."
