I think the Sims Team has received the message that we don’t want the Sims Online (looking at you Project Olympus) and therefore will integrate these online multiplayer features as supplementary to the core Sims 5 game

This is good so that we actually have a functioning and expandable core game and aren’t missing cars almost a decade after release like in the Sims 4
