If they're aiming at many types and abilities of machines being able to play the game they are definitely going in for keeping the game in 'the Cloud.' That means keeping it online whilst playing and only downloading what your computer will manage.
btw: How can you play with a friend who's bought packs you don't have?
The presentation was a bit too childish but as I'm not aiming to buy Rene it doesn't matter to me. I'm glad that Sims 4 will continue but feel that they are hanging on to it just in case Rene is a disaster.
