The discord isn't usable as a replacement due to awkward moderation and seems so far unlikely to be willing to add legacy channels, And slow moving legacy threads will be gone. If the forum actually only costs penny's to run, just set it to read only. That way you won't execute a community. Friendships are made here, and they usually don't survive moving platforms.
