@Ellerwind Sorry for the late reply! It could be that the game save has corrupted and cannot be recovered. One thing you could try is repairing the game if you use Origin. if you do use Origin, right click the Sims medieval game tile and select 'Repair'.
I think i needed to reword what I put.
I can load Kingdom A (my save game) but I have no background. When I started Kingdom B it was all fine. I had background and was all fine.
I'd like to know the way to fix Kingdom A so I can try to move on with it

Sorry for my late replay (the email was in the spam folder). I did a repair to no luck. I'd take it the file is corrupted and I'll just have to move on.
