Can't play sims 1 at all, won't even start.

Question

As stated above I try to hit play on the sims 1 what happens is as follows: The sims 1 icon pops up for a split second on my taskbar and then vanishes , and thats it. The game never start.

Specs of my computer:

ROG STRIX

Nvidia Geforce 4070 Laptop GPU

32 GB Ram

Processor: 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-13650HX 2.60 GHz

1 TB hardrive (710 Gb free space currently)

Windows 11 Home

Bought 1 and 1/2 years ago.

did system reset to fabrication settings 4 days ago.

Things iv'e tried myself: reapair sims 1, re install sims 1.

nothing worked. I bought it at launch and been 2 days without being able to play it.

Try reinstalling your 2015 and newer VC++ runtimes.&nbsp; Open Windows Settings &gt; Apps, scroll down to the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables, and uninstall everything from 2015 and newer. Don't touch the older versions.
Download the x86 and x64 versions (not the ARM version) of the 2022 runtimes from Microsoft:

Install the runtimes, restart your computer, and try to play.
