I definitely want an open world but I would like it on a smaller scale than Sims 3. I would love to see the neighborhoods of sims 4 redone like sims 3 map. I hate the cartoon map and I absolutely despise the "decorative" homes. I want every lot and every home playable and customizable. The more I can build freely on the map the better.
I don't care how they do it as long as I don't have to sit through a loading screen to visit my next door neighbor. I enjoy moving around town freely in 3.
I miss cars.
I'm the type of player that likes to create my entire town. I only build in 4 because gameplay is horrible. The building in 4 is awesome but I would like the cheat that allowed me to create garages and split levels to return. I also hate roofs in 4. I would like to add the roof over a room without it making the space unusable. I'd like to create a true attic bedroom. I also miss how the roofs in 2 worked. It was so funny when I edited my home and didn't realize I forgot to enlarge the roof until rain or snow fell inside ?. Auto roofs took a way that fun surprise.
I have a long list of features from all games that I would love to see blended into one but this topic is about the map. There's no reason why a comprise between 3 and 4 couldn't be reached. There are too many open world games out there and let's face most PC gamers have high end computers to play on. Most others play on console. PC gamer should have more options in games. We pay a lot more for our systems.
It would be cool if we could choose connect the neighborhoods to each other where we want them. Similar to how I connected homes in yoworld. How awesome would it be to watch our Sims back out of the drive way and drive to the end of town and then go into a loading screen to go to another neighborhood? And I don't want areas that are not on the map. I want to choose where my university and hospital is. I want to decide where my alien planet is and what it looks like. I want to make the schools Ect. I also want to create apartments. I absolutely hate man shuynu. I never play that map. It should be a lot type. If we want 5 floors of apartments that we share with NPC families we should be able to. If also love it we could set lots for 2 or 3 different types so we could build malls Ect. Anyway I'm rambling. I would love to see a real leap in the next sims game. If done right the game could really be the last sims well ever want and content coulf be made for it forever. I don't want another game that feels incomplete and rushed. I stopped buying dlc for 4 a year ago. I won't spend money on the next if it's not out of this world amazing. And all players who where extremely disappointed by 4 should do the same. We pay too much for for too little in these packs. And don't say it costs. There are lots of ppl making content for this game with free programs. If modders can do it the designers should be able to do it and do it better.
