Double Deluxe program

Hi,

Not sure if this is the right forum to post this, if not apologies.

I'm currently playing The Sims Double Deluxe (I know very old school), and it was working fine earlier, and yesterday when I managed to uninstall everything, but now I've gone to uninstall it again in order to completely reset my process in the game, and I'm trying to reinstall, except now it's not asking for that lovely long code, and just asks for Disc 2 once it's finished Disc 1, and then back to 1 again, when it says it's been installing, I go to click Play, but the game won't load, Does anyone have any idea what's going on? EA support can't help as it's a majorly old game and they don't have the info needed to help.
