Game will not 'Install', keeps looping from 'Finalising' to 'install'

Hi. I've been trying to download Sims: Medieval, and it seems to download, but then just jumps back to "install"

I have made extra space in my computer, and I have deleted and redownloaded it again, with the same problem. I turned off the firewall to download so I know that's not a problem. I'm not sure what to do.

@Cupcakelove32  What version of macOS do you have though?  If it's Catalina, that's the issue: Sims Medieval is a 32-bit app, and Catalina is 64-bit only.  There's no way around this, and no indication at this point that Medieval will ever be updated to run in Catalina or newer versions of macOS.

So your only options are to play on another computer, to install Windows on your Mac, or to install Mojave on an external hard drive or USB and boot into that when you want to play.  For the second option, you'd need space for both Windows and the game, plus enough left over for macOS and your files; for the third, you'd need at least temporary access to a Mac running Mojave or earlier.

My laptop is a mac and is up to date. I also have enough space on my laptop for the game but this is still a problem.
