How do I play and save Sims Medieval on external hard drive

I downloaded ea app to computer but I try to download my sims medieval game to my external hard drive (disc /:D) but it still downloads to computer files everytime, and my save games go to the hard drive :/C as well. I tried moving the game files manually to the external drive D but the game is still opening from main disc :/C  and saving there as well. This computer has limited space and I cant play on the main storage. I need to know how to get the game to at the VERY LEAST Save onto my external hard drive :/D not the computer!!! If someone can please help with getting the game to run off my external drive please help. I understand origin allowed the files to be moved but your very stupid update with the ea app does not allow saving to an external drive.

please help Im ready to return the game and get a refund, its not worth taking up my entire laptops memory .

  • @gelflingirl , is your EA App set to save game data to the D drive? I can't remember if it is in the game settings or the App settings to change where the data saves.

  • you probably already solved your issue or returned the game, but what I did is I moved my whole documents folder to my external hard drive. It allowed me to completely have all mods, cc, saves, etc. on my external hard drive as well as the games themselves. I have all the sims games on my external hard drive now. the only downside is that you won't be able to access your documents folder unless your external hard drive is plugged in, therefore I only did this on my personal gaming laptop. Hopefully this helps someone.
