I really need help. Does EA not have live support anymore?!?

I bought the Sims 2 ultimate collection bundle and now the sims 2 is giving me an error message when I try to launch the game. I was playing it just fine for awhile and then the create a sim issue happened. I couldn't write in the family name or anything in create a sim. Now I can't launch it at all.
