I had a great time with the original and would be game for a remake. I didn't hang out on these forums at the time and was surprised that there were complaints. Yeah, there were definitely limitations in comparison with the "main" sims series but I liked it a lot. I liked the thoroughness with which they explored various medieval roles including things like religious schisms.
