- BrooklynHillNZ8 years agoNew SpectatorI would much prefer another historical time period we can play in.. perhaps one that is not driven by quests either.
If not that, then The Sims Medieval would need a HUGE revamp in order to re-attract players. - I would love another medieval-type game.. but maybe one that felt less.. grindy. I always felt like I was redoing things all the time in the old game, although I absolutely LOVED the quest system, the daily tasks thing was... meh. Especially the bard one that required you to use certain themes (when themes were annoying to go fetch.. easily took as long as the actual quest).
Actually, any "historical" sims game would be cool to me, as long as it had those quest-like elements. The writing for the game was just phenomenal. TSM was very very laggy on my computer, so I never played as much as it as I wanted to (getting back into it now), and it's still... the framerate gets pretty bad compares to TS2 and TS4. TS3 has the same issues.
I think a game looking more like TS4, better optimized, in a more attractive time period might sell a lot better too. - graceymanors8 years agoLegendI would love a revamp of Medieval. It had so much potential. For now I just play my Sims 3 in a medieval style, I didn't like the quest driven aspect either.Like I love to tell stories and love having like the king fall for a commoner etc.But Medieval felt so limited to me.
- Yes, this game deserves another chance. If the Sims could bridge the gap between life simulator and traditional RPG, it could create an entirely new immersive genre. Add in multiplayer and netplay capabilities and you literally have a new game phenomenon.
- I vote for a TS4 Medieval expansion !!!

- WarthogRacer7 years agoSeasoned ScoutMedieval was an interesting concept. However, it wasn't a very good a The Sims game or an RPG/Kingdom builder. EAxis should of either made a deeper RPG or made it into a full The Sims game (at which point it would've made more sense as an expansion).

I don't know how many actually know /care about it, but it's got so much potential for a sandbox medieval style Sims game. The original is a quest based game that is really fun, but has so much potential. Any one else things The sims Medieval 2 deserves a chance?
I have Medival Sims. Oddly I didn't think I was going to like it at first but I loved the fact we had traits/weaknesses they had to overcome and those they had. I thought it was fun and wouldn't mind seeing a second Sims Medival come out. I would buy it.
I play games like D&D offline so the whole quest concept appeals to me when playing a simulation game.- It's still one of my favorites (TSM & P/N).
I've recently restarted the game to finish a few ambitions and achievements. I have saves from 2012 from which to resume :D -- It's been a while! It can be a bit too repetitious but hacking and modding does give more choices and flexibility so this time around I've modded it a bit for a little both some CC and to give more variables in how the game can be played. - blockhart937 years agoNew HotshotI wish they would make another The Urbz: Sims in the City too. That was my favorite sims of all..
