In your opinion, which Sims game did Fame the best?

I have only played 3 and 4, but I prefer the fame system in Sims 4, where you have to actually work for it, opposed to Sims 3 where it happened kind of randomly. It was really weird when the husband of my sim, who never left home, did anything to gain fame and overall refused to interract with anyone except for his family suddenly became a celebrity just because his wife was one. Poor man became even more determined to hide after that, because the paparazzi was everywhere.
