Just wanted to help people who is having a problem by "The Sims 2 not responding"
Beginners guide
Follow the steps
You will see this icon on your desktop when you have downloaded and installed.
Right click The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection and you will see Properties
You will see this when you click Properties
You will see Target: Go to the end of that and press the space bar and put in -w then
"You will see popup saying "You will need to provide administrator permisson to change these settings." Click Continue than click apply and OK.

You will see Advanced... Click that
You will see this when you click on Advanced..., Tick the "Run as administator" then click on OK, Dont forget to click apply.
When your still in Properties you will see Compatibility, Click on Compatibility.
Now you will see "Run this program in Compatibility mode for:" Tick that little box and choose Windows XP (Service Pack 3)
and tick the box where it says "Run this prgram as an administrator" then click Apply.
This is only for people who have other user accounts, When your in Properies in The Sims 2 Collection Properties and you will see "Compatibility" then you will see "Change settings for all users" Click that, You will see "Compatibility for all users"
Do the same as before, "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" Choose: Windows XP (Sevice Pack 3) Click Apply and press OK then press OK again. http://prntscr.com/46u2t3
The game will open as 800x600, This will now work on Windows 8.1, Windows 8,Windows 7,Windows Vista, Tested!
Warning to everyone, Dont be clicking on the game to make it work, Just leave it to load and do something else while waiting, I waited for about 10 minutes to load, It may take longer on your computer.

If your computer does not meet any requirements of the Sims 2, Please dont not follow this guide, It will waste your time on trying to work The Sims 2.
I recommended on buying or building a PC for just £250 just for the Sims only 🙂
