Is EA ever willing to make 75% discounts that they used to do? What about old games/DLCs?

Not to lie, I am kind of tired of seeing a 50% discount at each sale event, especially for The Sims 3. The game is literally forgotten by the company, and to repeat, it's an old game. Why do they insist on not going above 50% discount anymore?

The same goes for old The Sims 4 DLCs as well. I mean, think about bloody Outdoor Retreat or Get to Work DLCs. I barely see anyone recalling their names. I noticed that EA does less than a 50% discount for the latest DLCs, or they do not do it at all. Then why are they not doing a bigger discount for old DLCs?

This is not just a discussion, but also a request. Old games deserve to be played, give them a chance and please do a better discount.

  • One possible factor for Sims 4 DLC is that the Base Game is now free and there's the potential for all those new players to purchase DLC.
  • @simgirl1010 You nailed it, that's the strategy, set free the base game and profit selling more DLC's, I don't know if it works for EA but it works for other software developers, they set the main software for free and make profit selling addons (plugins-content) from independent creators/developers, Daz3d has years doing it with Daz Studio and the content we sell in their marketplace.
  • I don't remember seeing 75% off for ts4 other than base game before it was free
hmm then again i haven't exactly checked the oldest packs in any sale when it comes to ep since i had them already

but yeah since kits arrived there has not been 50% off sale for ts4 stuff packs at all

I've been stalking them like hawk and nope seems like 30% off is best we get now

it was rare obviously even before kits
but now the opportunity seems to have completely vanished

bummer since i still have quite many to catch

also true new packs seem to take longer to hit 50% off now but they did go rather fast before so honestly they just might have noticed its doing them no good to push the sale button so fast

Sims 3 I don't even look at sales since i never felt like hoarding more content with my computer already crashing as is  and i have the eps so yeah
