It is the Sims that is turning 25 ... not just the Sims 4

I hate to be "that guy"  that points this out but it seems the celebration of turning 25 focuses entirely on the Sims 4.  At least all the promo material it sure looks like EA is just focusing on the current game.  But really for those of us that have been around from the beginning (all 25 years of it)  I think we should see more representations of neighborhoods from the Sims,  Sims 2 and Sims 3.  More of a real multiverse effect.  I realize they aren't actually selling those games anymore so from EA's point of view it probably doesn't make a financial sense to waste energy looking that far back.  But that's a big part of nostalgia.

    Sims 3 is still being sold in the EA app all 149 add-ons. Prices range from $34-$19.

    It is possible, that since they are still adding to this latest iteration of the game, that's why it's out front.  Just a guess.

    Oh yeah.  I forgot that people can buy their games directly via the app now instead of the old big box stores.  I remember when you had to run and hope they didn't sell out on release day.  Now you can buy forever.  I didn't also realize they had so many add-ons.  Ka-ching.

    No doubt... I use to run to Blockbuster video or GameStop to rent the latest sims game when I first started playing the game. I was playing other games back then on my console. I switched to PC gaming when I saw CC. 🙂 

    I switched to PC gaming right before Sims 3 came out but I have always been in love with this game since my Xbox days. 🙂I played sims 1 and 2 on Xbox. I needed a break from the first person shooter.

    Why would they update the last sims games if almost no one plays them as regularly as ts4

    There are updates to the sims freeplay and kind of an update to my sims

    I felt I should update this comment I made because I did see they are releasing the cakedancer(s) for Sims 4.  One of my favorite NPCs from the original game.  I do hope they include all three versions:  female, male and gorilla.  And it does appear we have more original game stuff coming after that so I stand corrected.
