Regarding the graphics, I was reading on Steam that you can film your own videos and import that into the game. Sam,e with face etc. So a lot of the 'animations' you see in the trailer are probably done with motion capture( like the dancing) of actual people. It's more a stylized video of yourself that you can show to others, vs 3D animation created by artists that they are focusing on.
So it might look neat, but you probably have to input a lot of data to get these animations and I would read the fine print of the game too...what they do with this information as well. Probably train their AI systems with it, which I personally find kinda icky.
There's always a catch to these things, let's see how it plays first as the gameplay seems really boring to me as well. Better off playing Sims 2 even.
