Letter to have The Sims 2 Remastered

Dear Sir or Madam,&nbsp;I am writing this letter from France to inform you of a global problem, which is the impossibility for a large majority of us to play The Sims 2, a game that has rocked our lives.&nbsp;Indeed, several problems have been reported on the Internet, such as the screen resolution by Origin, shadow problems under our sims, poorly used RAM, edge problems, DirectX compatibility problems, DirectX9 in this case.Being a big fan of this license since I was a child, like most of us, I knew The Sims 1thanks to my father, it's through this opus that he brought me to The Sims 2 which was oneof the best opus I played during my childhood until the arrival of The Sims 3. Unfortunately, during the Origin event that gave us the opportunity to have The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection like a vast majority of people.We are a great or even huge majority to love this opus, the demand is strong. We love this opus that has rocked generations. The universe that emerges from it, the memories that our sims can have, the gameplay itself! And we find it a bit annoying that some can play it via Origin. Look at all the recent videos that Youtubers post about The Sims 2!Therefore, we all wish The Sims 2 would come back, remastered on Origin. We would have loved to have for the anniversary of The Sims, The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection Remastered instead of furniture in The Sims 4.Sorry for my English, I don't speak English fluently, I hope at least for our French community and worldwide community, you understood my letter.&nbsp;Thank you for your understanding and for having, I hope, taken the time to read this lettermade with a tight communityA French fan and a worldwide community

@HelkaliMaskani&nbsp;, at this time, EA has no plans to remaster Sims 2. There are hundreds of posts similar to yours both here and on the Official Sims Forums.&nbsp;The game is playable on Windows 10 and yes, it does take a bit of tweaking. If you have specific problems, post here and we can try to help you.

A bit of tweaking? Unless you get a whole laundry list of mods and additional software - no the game is no longer playable on windows 10 as it develops sudden crashes and graphic memory issue because it no longer recognises the modern graphic cards. The game still has vibrant and active community who would be much more enthusiastic about the franchise if it didn't have to take a brisk stroll to mordor and back just to be able to get the game somewhat running.&nbsp;

@Ninithel&nbsp;, have you used Graphics Rule Maker to get the game to recognize your graphics card? Google search for it since I cannot post links directly to it due to AHQ's forum rules. Also make sure you apply the 2GB patch which can be found on many Sims fan sites.

I have applied the fixes and can play the game. The point is that we shouldn't have to do all that just to play and enjoy it..
