I couldn't believe it either! Same with you, I'm not thinking it's a big deal that things like bitching and hell aren't censored - the vast majority of us here are at least teenaged, the rest are close (I don't know of anyone on here under 12) - but them leaving them while censoring completely innocuous words is incredibly weird.
I used to be bugged by swear words a couple of years ago but I don't really mind them anymore, just prefer them not used excessively or with nasty intentions. Fine lines.
Yeah I have sort of an uncommon last name and googling my first/last name combination, despite my lacking an online presence on any social media or the like, does bring up a few things actually about me (bowling league records and a fifth grade perfect STAR section score congratulations, I think). For that and other reasons I'd prefer not to mention it.
Fair enough. :~P
I've been ~ing smilies because I dislike the new emoticons and don't really want to use them. Wish they'd just bring the old ones over. Not that it'd help me much, I view these forums zoomed out so the emoticons all look kinda funky now. The lack of a laughing one is ridiculous, the missing others are nearly as bad.
Same here about the change. I'm adjusting but there are still things I don't like. I don't like change in general but there are still specific issues I have with stuff over here.
And on the hashtags - like I said, I don't feel right forbidding anyone from using them, and it's not like I can anyway, so I'll tolerate them if I must. But like Turner said, they get old. Really, really old. And this ain't Twitter.
