@nchang123 , the Mac version of the Sims 2 is available for purchase at the Apple App Store for about $20 US and will run on Mac OS Catalina with no problems as Aspyr updated the game to run 64 bit. It contains everything ported to the Mac from Base Game to Bon Voyage. It's called the Sims 2 Super Collection. This is the only digital version of the game available for purchase.
If you had the Mac version on disks, the disks would not work anyway because of the architecture of the old Macs is no longer compatible with the newer Macs. The codes will no longer work for either Mac or Windows. Sims 2 is no longer available to redeem or purchase on Origin anyway. And Sims 2 on Origin requires a copy of Windows to run.

I am having the same issue. I just bought a brand new copy on sims 2 double deluxe in original packaging. But when I type the registration code iy says its not valid. I would be more than happy to prove my purchase or whatever is required.

@BabuGnoosh , if you are trying to register the game in Origin, it will not work. The game is no longer available for either purchase or free on Origin and EA Customer Support cannot add it to your account even with proof of purchase.
Since you bought the CD/DVD version if you computer does not have a disk drive, you will need to purchase an external disk drive to be able to install the game. Once you have the disk drive, please post again if you are having problems installing the game.

I am using a physical copy of the game, I'm not using origin. I have a disk drive, I get get it to start the istallation, I choose english then it asks for the registration number. I've typed it in the correct code displayed on the manual, several times, and I keep getting an "invalid" message.
