- telemwillSeasoned AceI hope they are able to find the leak this time and put a stop to it. This could be really bad news!
- Well... this is not good at all... D:
Seems like the joker made a swift move... - logionXSeasoned HotshotIf I understand the article correctly, they were able to get access to the game without connecting to the EA servers and without needing access tokens. It doesn't say anything if they were able to get any source code.
Regardless, it's pretty sad that EA/Maxis invited people to try out the game early and people abused it, I guess it could be seen as a reminder that they have to be very careful when doing their playtesting but it's still sad.
Another reason why multiplayer in the sims is not a good idea. People are cracking games and using trainers for games like multiplayer games all the time and resources have to be spent to prevent it. - AncientMuse2Seasoned RookieThis is why we can't have nice things..... *sigh*
Thanks to these hackers, we may very well see the shutdown of Project Rene's early access, invite playtesting, and/or any other community participation until further notice. - ChadSims2Seasoned Novice

Makes no difference to me they seem to only pick the "elite" like game changers to have any impact on this game. - I think they should make development of Sims 5 completely public and let the players decide what features they want (e.g. Open world, apartments, etc.)
- The issue with that is that we all want different things. A single pack isn't such a big deal. But to create an entire game according to "the community" could get ugly really fast.

Smaller games do it all the time, and I've got some games that have been in "early access" for six years or more. So, why should The Sims be any different? I think it could have a very positive effect on the finished product. "cody6268;c-18199619" wrote:

But Sims games aren't small. They're huge and complex.
Besides, there's no need for EA/Maxis to consult with the community further. We've been telling them what we like, and don't like, for years. If they don't have an understanding by now, early access can't help them.
In a way, TS4 has been low-key early access all along. The base game was incomplete and feature-poor. Nine years later, some of us are still waiting for the game to reach the level of playability and fun that the earlier games had by year four. I'm not keen on giving EA/Maxis an official excuse to be subpar.- AnonymousBig leak of images of the demo town just dropped. Unclear what the policy is so I’m not going to post images here
