Re: Sims 2 PC CAS Issues

@swampbeast69 , are you playing with any CC or mods? This could be causing the problem. Just asking so I can try to figure out the problem.

Thanks for the reply! I've never used any mods and custom content is just stuff I made in body shop, but I removed it all and haven't put it back since reinstalling. Even without any of my saved data the problem persists.

@swampbeast69 , ok try this as it resets the game to vanilla state. Locate your Sims 2 folder (found Documents > EA Games > Sims 2) and move the entire folder to your Desktop. Do not copy and paste or create a shortcut or move any of the folders on their own, move the entire folder. Don't worry. Your saved games will be safe. Start up the game to allow a new folder to generate and then start a new game. See if resetting to the vanilla state fixes the problem.

@Tremayne4260  No, other than some mild graphics issues (simple terrain, rectangle shadows) everything was totally fine. Even CAS and my sims' genetics functioned properly and then one day it just happened. I hadn't touched it for a few weeks and when I started the game to make a family I noticed something was wrong.

@swampbeast69  and the only CC you use are items you created in Body Shop correct? Did you do anything to solve the shadow issue? Just trying to figure this out.

@Tremayne4260 Correct, but I'm not using any custom content currently. I did edit the graphics rules files to turn off all sim shadows. However, upon reinstalling I left them untouched and ran the game to see if the CAS problem was still there - it was. I don't mind all the questions, I really appreciate the help!

@swampbeast69 , have you deleted the Accessory.cache and Groups.cache from your Sims 2 file? These two files can often cause problems in the game and should be deleted regularly. Don't worry. The game regenerates them as needed each time you play.
