Redeem Sims 1 & 2 Codes for Legacy Game

If someone has their original The Sims & The Sims 2 CDs with serial numbers, can they use that to download the rereleased versions on the EA App?

    CD keys aren't supported by EA App.

    TS2 Ultimate Collection was assigned to the players who use to redeem TS2 CD product keys before July 31, 2014.

    so technically no because those codes would have expired as stated above. And each time the game is released, its a different version as for the entitlement goes. Codes from back then simply no longer work.
