Remastered or Remake

I happen to like the TS3 aesthetic as it is now. If it was changed to resemble TS 4 I simply would not be interested in the remaster/remake.

A while ago I hosted a long thread in the TS3 section and the question of remastering/remaking came up. There are a number of difficulties which would need to be overcome for it to happen including making a 64 bit version. Essentially the entire programme would have to be rewritten. Granted this would allow you to turn TS3 into whatever you wanted but any time you do major rewrites you risk creating new glitches and bugs.

Assuming the difficulties were overcome I would love to see the major glitches and bugs dealt with, particularly in IP where the routing is a real headache without modding. I would also love to see inside the rabbit holes and to watch my sims driving their cars around from the inside of the car. Other than that I would like to see proper babies with legs. Most of all I would expect the colourwheel, open world, swimming in open water, diving, world editor, CAW, and terrain tools to be retained and enhanced where appropriate.

That is just for starters :) If there were to be no new iterations of the franchise then I would like to feel I had a game I could continue to play for another 11 years.

Sims 2 updated solely to work on the current computers of the time and to address the various bugs and glitches currently present or that happen as a result of the attempts to fix the bugs and glitches.

Which isn't a remake, but it isn't a graphical remaster as I do not want graphics to change at all. Don't want to have to get rid of all/most of my CC.

I would want a remaster of TS1. I have tried SO HARD to get it on my computer, and all of my efforts have been fruitless. I want them to re-release it so bad, my nostalgia for it has been killing me. :(

I just want the Sims 4 Gallery and CAS options, and im golden. With ts4 graphics too

Sims 3 has always been my favorite in the series. The ideal for me would be TS3 with the gallery, CAS, build-buy and UI of TS4 and remastered graphics. Oh and quicker loading times. So basically a combination of the best of TS4 with the best of TS3

Not sure why people hate the rabbitholes so much because I like them. They're one of the biggest things I miss in TS4. It's nice to just send your sim off to a rabbithole restaurant and have them disappear for a while and come back happier, I can't be bothered to follow them around everywhere and do everything for them :#

They should keep TS4 build mode

with more options to make the world more open and several other minor features from future games I think are necessary

This - along with a simpler cap and less pre-created styles (because maxis didn't always have the best taste...) would be my dream game.

This is just a collection of ideas for us to put together for a possible TS5, if and when it comes out.

Life stages:
All life stages should be included:
Baby (real babies, not objects)
Toddlers (could we go through the lack of toddlers again)
Children (Keep them like they are)
Pre teens (why not)
Teenagers (With their own height & voice)
Young Adults (Make them look very slightly younger than Adults)
Adults (No change needed)
Elders (With their own walk, wrinkles and voice)

World:
Open World only, no silly loading screens. If it worked in 2009, it will work in the future
Allow us to add lots of any size and edit the world as we wish
Make it look like GTA but without the violence lol

Gameplay:
Keep it cool like TS1, TS2 & TS3 style with charm and humour
Leave out angry poops

Traits and Aspirations/ Lifetime wishes:
Make Traits & Lifetime wishes like TS3 & Aspirations like TS2

Careers:
Bring back all basic careers as well as options for part time work and for teens to work their own hours to fit in with school

Part time:
Grocery Store
Grave Digger (why not)

Teens:
Same as adults but part time as well as part time jobs

Rabbit holes for workplaces like TS3 but an option to edit them

Bar/ Hangout

Pets:
Include in base game this time.
Maybe just dogs and cats and add other animals in later EPs

Weather:
Basic weather like rain and mild storms.
Add more weather in later EPs

Mail Delivery
Newspaper Delivery
Burglar
Pizza
Humour (Tragic Clown, Social Bunny or something new)

Build Mode:
Everything that TS3 has but some of the new stuff from TS4, like different wall heights
CASt (Bring it back in TS3 style)

The best of all of them.
Bring back sliders

Extras:
Option to transfer Sims from one game to TS5, restoring family relationships and match skills where possible
Option to transfer lots from one game to TS5 and copy textures and colours into the new CASt to save me having to rebuild my lots
Option to transfer worlds from one game to TS5 matching roads and where to place lots and spawners to save me having to spend years rebuilding

PR & forums:
Regular presence of Gurus on the forums, asking for feedback & mention of bugs.
Bugs to be fixed when the are apparent, and apologies for those who are getting them
Game to be play tested
Forum user has to own a copy of TS5 to join forum to prevent constant troll attacks
One month's membership before one can share images, links & start PMs to prevent troll attacks
The 'Rockstar Attitude' for making the game great
